I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Valentine's Day (early)! We have already celebrated this special occasion because the gifts were bought early and no one in my family can keep a secret or wait!!! We opened valentines gifts on Saturday. Sophie and Aiden picked out a new necklace and earings for me (with the help of Daddy.) I love them. I had pretty much figured out that I was getting jewelry, because when Aiden told me that he got me a present, Sophie said, "Yeah, we got it at Macy's and you're gonna wear it every day!" I had been shopping with Travis a couple of weeks earlier and eyed some of the stuff... so, yeah, I knew!!! I got Travis a Nelson Bubble Lamp, which he has told me more than once was one of the two things that he wanted to own before he died. The other thing is way too expensive. I'll have to save for years.
Sophie got a strawberry notepad, some hair clips and some days of the week socks. She thinks the Socks are fun, and I can tell that the "Artist" in her is fighting with the "Rule Follower" in her because sometimes she wants to wear the socks on the wrong day and has trouble with this concept! She's trying to choose between the color she wants, but can't let go of the fact that they have the days written on them. I told her that they make days of the week panties and asked her if she wanted some and she adamantly yelled "NO!" She is so both her father and I!
Aiden got a Very Hungry Caterpillar game and we had fun playing it together!
We got Valentines in the mail today. Thanks gramma and pappa for the dress up clothes, stickers, candy, puzzle and jammies! The kids love them! Thanks Natalie and "Uncle G" (as Aiden refers to you) for the candy.
Sophie and Aiden both got cards from Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Dana. When Sophie opened hers, one dollar fell out. She was pretty excited. Aiden opened his and pulled out 5 -1 dollar bills. He started yelling, "I got THREE!" Sophie was totally upset that he got more than her AND that he was counting wrong! Then Travis had to tell Sophie to open her card and she found the rest of her dollars. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma! This was very funny!
I'll be posting some pics soon. We have a Valentine's party tomorrow at one of Sophie's friends houses and then a party at school on Friday.
