The back tire is a little messed up and there is a little color discrepancy on the front of the car. I'm not really sure why. I left the house for 20 minutes to pick up Sophie from school and then picked up right where I left off and the color was a little different. Also... I will NEVER make red icing again. My very smart Sister-in-Law told me to buy it pre-made, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Next time I will order it if I have to, but I definitely will not make it. It took so much color that the icing was a little wet. I tried to thicken it up by adding powdered sugar and then it just looked a little grainy. It was still too wet, so the icing was a little more difficult to work with than the other colors... Oh well... that's what learning is all about!!!

Looks great! My semi-arthritic hands can't handle all that piping...whew! That's strange about the change in red tones. Did you use the color paste? I made a Clifford cake for Miss M once and it worked great.
it looks great! I will never ever make black fondant again for the same reason. It took so much color to get the black shade I needed that the fondant broke down. I just saw red pre-made icing at walmart tonight. I thought who would need that huge bucket of red icing but it would have been perfect for this cake.
I think you did a FANTASTIC job!! If Aiden is happy, then you should be too! Way to go mom!!!!
(Tanner is reading over my shoulder and says "HI Aunt Kyndra".....giggle giggle)

The cake looks great! Those cakes always take so long to star in. I always bought my Wilton red and black icing in tubes. You can always find them in the Wilton aisle at Hobby Lobby or Michaels.
